Based on 500 years of brewing traditions in the Ciuc Depression, the exceptional natural conditions and the extremely clean water in the area, we established the already well-known and visited Csíki Sör Brewery in 2014. Together with one of the best brewmasters in the Carpathian Basin and through cooperation with the Hungarian University of Transylvania “Sapientia” we managed to revive the brewing tradition.

The modern brewing equipment, designed especially for us by Hungarian experts, follows the traditional processes at today’s high technological level.

Tiltott Csíki Sör craft beer is brewed according to old recipes, in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law, without modern chemical ingredients and using traditional brewing technology.

Alongside traditional brewing processes, we ensure a clean environment, the right temperature and strictly maintain natural maturation processes. Our beer is only matured naturally and we do not interfere with the natural processes with accelerators, additives or artificial compounds.

Due to the extremely high demand for this product, Csíki Sör opened its second brewery in 2016, reaching four times the capacity. The basic principles have not changed at the new brewery: keeping traditions, using only spring water, malt and hops without chemicals and modern processes, and “quality above all”. The modern brewery, fermentation room and impressive bottling line are both monumental and spectacular.

More than one hundred Szeklers work at the “Csíki Sör Manufaktúra” factory. We ourselves, in collaboration with the Sapientia Transylvanian Hungarian University, are constantly preparing and developing our recipes through research and remembering our common past with respect. We organise the production and bottling of beer locally and we also make sure that special, fresh beers reach shops and restaurants, in the hope that they will also end up on your tables.
